Committee excited for concert announcments

One of the area’s big summer festivals has already announced who will be playing.

Mattawa Voyageur Days 2015 will see Tom Cochrane, Sam Roberts and Dallas Smith.

Now, Chair of Community Services Mark King says Summer in the Park will announce their acts soon.

He says both the Classic Rock Act and the Country Act will be big hits, but they have to wait just a little longer to unveil who they are.

Meantime King says in comparing the two festivals, Voyageur Days does a great job, but it’s a different atmosphere.

He says there’s more people camped out and Summer in the Park is looking at changing its atmosphere for the event over the next couple of years.

He adds there could also be changes to the ticket prices with an early bird deal.
