The annual Friendship tournament for the Best Buddies program is taking place today at the Elks Lodge.

 

Everyone is welcome to register a team for $5 and it includes pizza, a snack and games. It all gets started at 9am.

 

Meantime, thousands of Canadians are participating in the Spin4kids Plus event, which is one of Canada’s largest one-day indoor fitness fundraiser.

It takes place at over 200 GoodLife Fitness Centers across the country.

 

The local GoodLife Fitness Centre will be supporting the cause with an eight hour event featuring spin classes, Body Combat, Zumba and yoga.

 

The funds raised will support the GoodLife-4-kids school pilot program at Vincent Massey School. It helps keep kids active when it’s too cold to go outside.
