Battalion

 

North Bay and Ottawa combined for five goals after the first twenty minutes of play last night – but the Troops shut down the Ottawa attack and came away with a 5-2 win.

 

The Battalion led by two goals going into the third and Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says the players are getting better at finishing games.
 


 
Ray Huether, Ryan Kujawinski, Matt Santos, Brett McKenzie and Nick Moutry all found the back of the net. Huether,

 

McKenzie and Santos played on the same line and  Butler says he likes adding McKenzie to the Santos and Huether combination.
 

 
With the win the Battalion have clinched home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs.They will finish the season as either the number three or four seed.
 
They will try to guarantee a third place finish with a win tonight (Friday) in Mississauga. Catch the game on Country-600 CKAT, broadcast time is 7:05pm.
