scienceStudents in grades 7 to 12 are being encouraged to enter this year’s North Bay Regional Science Fair.

It takes place on April 1st, and there will be five winners selected to take part in the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Fredericton.

Chief Judge of the Fair is Andrew Weeks who says with the fair being over 50 years old, it’s important they continue this tradition of encouraging young minds.

Weeks has been involved with the fair for a couple of years and says there has been lots of fascinating ideas brought forward, and they hope to see the same this year.

Weeks says students have brought everything from medical related projects to robots to the North Bay Regional Science Fair.

He adds this fair encourages students to try things out and look at something interesting in a setting they may not have had before. Registration will close tomorrow (Friday) at 6pm. Go to www.nbrsf.com to register.
