The North Bay Battalion are gearing up for Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal match up against the Kingston Frontenacs. Meantime, the Powassan Voodoos can’t find an answer in the third period for the second straight game in the NOJHL playoffs.

The North Bay Battalion will look to build on their strong start to the post-season today (Sunday). The Troops host the Kingston Frontenacs for game two of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

 

North Bay is coming off an 8-0 shutout on Friday. Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says one game doesn’t make a series.

 

 

Butler says he’s glad his team played hard for 60 minutes, but was also impressed with the discipline.

 

 

North Bay went 2 /6 on the Power Play in Game One.

After a 6-2 loss last night, the Powassan Voodoos are down 2-0 in their best of seven NOJHL East Division finals.
 
The Cochrane Crunch scored four unanswered third period goals to pick up the win.
 
Aaron Dart and Jeremy St. Pierre scored for the Voodoos. Both goals were scored in the second period after the Crunch took a 2-0 lead in the middle frame.
 
Game Three is on Tuesday, in Powassan with a 7:30pm puck drop.
