WHKY_Recruits15_April72015_HPThe Nipissing Lakers women’s hockey team has added five new players, that officials say should give the Lakers an extra boost to build on what was a great 2014-15 season.

Two blueliners, Stacey Henshaw and Taylor McManus along with forwards Kait McManus, Natalie Graham and Ava Keis have joined the team.

Coach Darren Turcotte says “We are very happy with the group we have coming in. We feel we have added some size, strength and skill to the young core we have returning,”

He goes on to say, “The compete level of all five players is high and is a trait we are always looking for.”

Team officials say adding five recruits is always a positive because it presents stability to the program and gives the team some depth and different options in the lineup.
