Airport book

City Council is continuing to try and find ways of attracting businesses to the Airport Industrial Business Park.

It’s got some of the Councilors thinking outside the box and looking to bigger markets for ideas.

Chair of Community Services Mark King brought up the idea of offering Toronto based businesses the luxury of a less crowded Airport

Deputy Mayor Sheldon Forgette says they are ready to accept businesses and new carriers.

Forgette says they don’t have a timeline for any of that at this point.

This stemmed off an agenda item surrounding the implementation of an Airport Protection Zone.

It essentially expands the area around the Airport for further development. Mayor Al McDonald details why that was needed.
