An update on the Points4Paul initiative which is raising awareness, publicity and support for children’s mental health in our area.

North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation President and CEO Tammy Morison says Battalion forward Nick Paul‘s idea, Points4Paul, invites family, friends and fans to make a donation to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit to celebrate each time he scores a point.

So far, Points4Paul has raised just under $7,000 and has sparked a ripple effect, with youth coming up with their own ways to support and contribute to the cause.

Morison says the Battalion forward and Ottawa Senators prospect is a “local hero”.

She says, “As the exciting playoff games continue and Nick continues earning points, his efforts will have a lasting impact on the care available for children in our community.”

Morison goes on to say, “Reflecting on Nick’s enthusiasm, dedication and perseverance, I can only image the impact he will continue to have, wherever his NHL career takes him.”
