BEAM program creating jobs in the area

Blue Sky Net is looking to continue to create jobs through their BEAM program.

BEAM stands for Broadband for E-business and Marketing – and they provide funding for businesses to get setup with these technologies.

Executive Director Susan Church says this is the third year they are taking applications for their programs.

She says it’s been a very successful program as it was responsible for creating 25 new full-time jobs and 16 part-time jobs, as well as maintaining 23 full-time jobs which would have otherwise been lost.

The BEAM program covers 75% or up to $5,000 dollars towards the associated costs.

All businesses that have been in operation for at least a year are eligible to apply.
