Police (north bay)A busy weekend for North Bay Police as they responded to 246 calls for service.

13 people were arrested and charged with a variety of offences.

They include public intoxication, break, enter and commit, obstruct police officer, assault police officer, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, false alarm of fire, assault and several breach counts.

Three incidents included:

Charges have been filed after city police responded to a report of a break-in to a Memorial Drive restaurant after 430 on Friday afternoon.

Two men, an 18 year old and a 26 year old were both charged with one count of break, enter and commit.

The 18 year old is also charged with obstruct police officer and two counts of breach.

 

Meantime, a disturbance call just after 5 o’clock Saturday morning has led to an 18 year old woman being charged with three counts of assault police officer and two counts of uttering threats.

It’s alleged police saw a woman yelling and walking southbound on Second Avenue East.

It’s further alleged when officers tried to assist her she continued to yell and attempted to assault a police officer, with threats made.

Police say another officer was also assaulted and threatened with a third officer assaulted at police headquarters.

The woman is also charged with causing a disturbance.

 

And a city man has been charged after a dispute between neighbours.

North Bay Police say officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance over parking issues just before 8pm yesterday (Sunday).

It is alleged that a man was making threats to another person with a piece of wood.

The 25 year old man is charged with weapons dangerous, assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause bodily harm and uttering threats to damage property.

Police say the victim was not injured.
