City to launch ePortal website on Tuesday

More technological advances at City Hall.

The City of North Bay E-Services Portal will launch tomorrow (Tuesday).

Deputy Mayor Sheldon Forgette says this will allow users to check their water usage.

He says the portal is very user friendly.

Forgette says there is a calculator that shows the user what they are spending on water, as well as the ability to add and subtract properties for multiple home owners.

He says you can find anything you need in a few simple clicks and there are lots of features so the user is getting the right information.

Forgette says with the new billing system coming in, along with the water meters themselves, residents deserve to know exactly what it’s costing them for water.

He says this is only the beginning for many potential uses of this portal, including eventually adding services such as your property tax bill or a parking ticket.
