Mark KingCommunity Living North Bay is looking to move out of the downtown core.

Chair of Community Services Mark King says there is a building on Wallace Road that is ready to be moved into and council has to approve a rezoning proposal for that to happen.

King says Community Living can no longer operate in their present building.

He says a final vote will take place in the coming weeks to either allow or deny community living to move into this building.

King says while they don’t like seeing businesses leave, there is a way to off-set the loss.

He says they are adding 150 jobs to the downtown core with the addition of the new Health, and also points to the local Chamber of Commerce moving in as well.
