Panther Radio is Back On The Air

The student radio station at Canadore College has relaunched.

The online Panther Radio station, has been ‘on-air’ for nearly 10 years and is run almost entirely by students in the Broadcast – Radio program.  

Interim Associate Dean of Media, Design and Dramatic Arts Yura Monestime says the students undertook market research to come up with their new format.

He says the students have been really busy surveying the college population and coming up with a new way to respond to the listeners.

Radio students will be responsible for running five different segments with a focus on trending Top 40/Hot AC genre music.

Monestime also says the refresh includes a new website platform which is also mobile device friendly.  In the works is a new logo inspired by Amanda Wall, a third-year student from Canadore’s Graphic Design program.
