Battalion pink jerseys
The North Bay Battalion will be wearing pink jersey’s in support of the Canadian Cancer Society at tonight’s Pink In The Rink game.

It’s a rematch of the last two Eastern Conference Final for the annual Pink In The Rink game tonight (Thursday) at Memorial Gardens.

The North Bay Battalion host the Oshawa Generals.

The Troops will wear pink jersey’s that will be a part of a silent auction, with other activities at the game, supporting the Canadian Cancer Society.

The Generals won the 2015 Eastern Final, while it was the Battalion in 2014 who took home the conference crown.

The Troops have won three straight games and forward Brett McKenzie says it’s a nice streak, but they need to keep playing hard.

McKenzie says they are starting to get it together after a slow start and he says “I think we didn’t have that team chemistry or systems worked out, but we’ve got it lately and have come out with three straight wins.”

Catch the game on Country 600 CKAT, starting with the pre-game show at 6:35 pm.

In a release, the Battalion say the Troops special pink sweaters will be a part of a silent auction in the North Concourse. “Chuck-a-Puck” will also return, with foam pucks available for purchase for $5. Fans will then toss the pucks onto the ice during intermission, and the pucks that land closest to the target will win valuable prizes.

Pink event t-shirts will be available to purchase for $15 with proceeds also benefitting the Canadian Cancer Society.

This event has raised nearly $25,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society in the past two years, and the Battalion hopes the 7th man will continue to support this great cause.
