"Digging the Trenches: the Archaeology of the Western Front."

An author and historian who has spent the last 20 years studying Trenches along the Western Front will present some of his research in North Bay tomorrow (Saturday).

Andy Robertshaw will bring his talk “Digging the Trenches; the Archaeology of the Western Front” to West Ferris Secondary School.

John Hetherington is with the History Department at West Ferris and he says Robertshaw’s presentation is designed to reveal the reality of trench warfare and the men that served in them.

Hetherington says there are some big milestones coming up that commemorate the Great War and Robertshaw will be shedding the light on the Canadians involvement in those battles and anniversaries.

The presentation is free to attend and it begins at 7pm.
