battalion280x160The North Bay Battalion are looking for production in any way, shape or form as they head into their game against the Sudbury Wolves tonight (Friday).

Zach Bratina has retired from hockey with concussion-related injuries while the North Bay Battalion will be without Brett Hargrave, Kyle Wood and Brady Lyle for tonight’s game.

The Troops now have just two players with more than 10 points and Butler says there’s opportunity now for the younger players to step up.

Head Coach Stan Butler says they will be looking for a better outcome this time around against their northern rivals.

Sudbury won the first meeting this season 3-1. Butler says “they are a better team this year, they are young, but they probably have more older guys than we do right now.”

The Troops are five points ahead of the Wolves for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Of the 18 regular Battalion skaters who have played at least ten games, only seven have recorded more than five points.

Catch tonight’s game on Country 600 CKAT, broadcast time is 6:35 pm.
