Nip Strike 2Monday we told you that the Nipissing University Faculty Association was indicating they were ready to get back to the bargaining table.

Tuesday  in a response, the university says they have contacted the provincially appointed mediator in a move to get the resumption of bargaining going.

The strike is in its 3rd week.

Provost and vice president academic and research at the university Harley d’Entremont, says this is a positive sign.

As for issues he says typically money is always a concern but there could be some non-monetary issues as well.

Meantime, Nipissing University Student Union says they have a plan that will help bring an end to the strike.

Their plan is for both sides to compromise and to put students first.

NUSU president Ian Hall says both sides have an obligation to put students ahead of all othe rinterests so they get a quality education.

Hall says this disruption should cease immediately

NUSU will be holding a question and answer session Thursday at 2 pm.
