Police aren’t identifying who they detained, but now say seven people have been arrested in this morning’s raid on an apartment building where suspects in last week’s Paris terror attacks were holed up.

A French government spokesman says a seven-hour police operation north of Paris, in Saint-Denis, targeting the mastermind of the Paris attacks and his accomplices, has ended.

Two people were killed in the police raid, including a woman who blew herself up.

A police dog died and several police officers were injured.

An Ontario Hindu temple that burned to the ground after the 9-11 attacks in 2001 is stepping up its security in the wake of the deadly Paris terror attacks, as well as some Ontario incidents which police are probing as hate crimes.
Members of the Samaj temple in Hamilton say the weekend torching of a mosque in Peterborough and vandalism at a Hindu temple in Kitchener have sparked memories of the arson that destroyed their place of worship 14 years ago.
Police have promised enhanced area patrols and the temple is taking steps to beef up its camera and security systems.

Police have cleared both Air France flights bound for Paris from the U-S that had to be diverted last night to Nova Scotia and Utah because of anonymous threats.
One plane that had taken off from Dulles International Airport near Washington was diverted to Halifax, while the another from Los Angeles was diverted to Salt Lake City.
Both the R-C-M-P and F-B-I say nothing suspicious had been detected on either aircraft.
Halifax Stanfield International Airport says affected passengers there have been put up in hotels for the night.
