The Fronts had beaten the Troops a few weeks ago 4-1 in Kingston, and the Battalion coaching staff were looking for a better effort overall.

While the score looked like a close game, the Battalion didn’t show much offence until the final two-minutes of the third.

Troops Head Coach Stan Butler says despite the loss there is a positive to come out of it.

Jake Kment (pictured) made his eighth straight start between the pipes and had 25 saves on 28 shots.

The Troops 4-3 loss to the Frontenacs was mostly one sided for a majority of the game.

Kingston held North Bay to just 5 shots in the second period, and killed of an extended 7-minute penalty kill en-route to the victory at Memorial Gardens.

Butler says the Frontenacs had a stronger compete level.

The Troops got goals from Cam Dineen, David Sherman and Mike Amadio.

The Battalion are back in action today (Friday) as they visit the Mississauga Steelheads.
