NEW opp police Mattawa OPP reporting they are confident an incident involving a dog attack DID NOT happen in Mattawa.

The initial report yesterday (Sunday) had stated a large dog attacked a 22 month old child in a stroller on Saturday evening in the township, but they say further investigation shows it did not take place there. They say residents are not in any danger related to the allegations provided to emergency personnel.

The investigation continues.
