tanya vreboschThere was the big announcement this morning about Vince Neil of Motley Crue headlining this years Mattawa Voyaguer Days festival.

With that in mind Matthew Sookram asked Chair of Engineering and Public Works Tanya Vrebosch about the local festival, Summer in the Park.

That was the response from Vrebosch on Council Capsule this morning. She went on to say people should give them another chance to see if they can make Summer in the Park a success.

Meantime, a listener sent a question through Facebook asking what the city’s plans are for growing North Bay.

Vrebosch says that’s a topic council will be spending a lot of time on in the next few weeks.

Vrebosch says the Airport Industrial Park is the biggest asset they have.

As well, City Council passed their budget last week and while the vote was 9-2 in favour of the passing the budget, there were others who didn’t completely agree.

One of those is Vrebosch.

Vrebosch says she decided not to vote against it, because she couldn’t trust the budget to move forward.

She says there were still positives in the budget and didn’t want to lose those items.
