Rota Rally 2

Bill C-14 has been read into the house and going to committee at the federal level.

It is more commonly known as the assisted death legislation.

Members of the public were rallying against the proposal at MP Anthony Rota’s office today.

The Liberal MP spoke to the crowd and said they are a little late in their fight against Euthanasia as the Supreme Court decided it would be legal in their ruling last year.

Rota says it is still drawing controversy on both sides.

He says “in legislation that sometimes means you listen to both sides and you end up somewhere in an area where it’s not right or wrong but everything has to be considered.

Rota says there will be presentations on the Bill at the committee level and if people want their ideas or opinions heard they should make sure they are represented in those meetings by their leaders.
