North Bay Police LogoThe North Bay Police Service responded to 261 calls for service on the weekend, with 10 people facing charges.

They include one person being charged with uttering threats.

Nine other people were charged with public intoxication.

 

Meantime, the North Bay Police Services Board has accepted council’s invitation to take part in a committee discussing the city’s 9-1-1 service and emergency tiered response.

Board chair Dennis O’Connor says they look forward to showcasing the excellent work of the 9-1-1 call-takers, who are all North Bay Police Service employees.

He goes on to says they’re also open to having an honest and transparent discussion with other committee members about 9-1-1 and its future.

O’Connor says they’re committed to working together to provide the most effective and efficient service delivery possible for the community.

The board will announce who will be their committee representative at their next meeting on May 17th.
