Officials want to know how Age Friendly North Bay is

The city and the health unit want to know how age friendly North Bay is.

The World Health Organization encourages active aging as this it says will enhance quality of life.

The WHO looks at several areas and the city wants you to take part by offering your opinion.

Brian Kimber is the city’s community development facilitator.

He says the survey has several areas including housing, transportation, employment, civic participation and recreation.

You have until May 11th to complete the survey.

Kimber says the city has hired a consultant and the information in the survey will be put in a report to the city.

You can fill it out on line on the city’s web site or pick up hard copies at city hall, the chamber offices or the health unit.

It’s hoped that the results will be delivered at a seniors expo next month.
