If you have property that could have been lost or stolen, you might want to check out the North Bay Police Service public auction.

It takes place tomorrow (Saturday) with a preview at 8 am.

Corporate Communications Coordinator Marie Lugli says if you do see something that is yours you can put in a report to police to re-claim it.

She says otherwise the auction starts at 9 am and they put the money to good use.

Lugli says “community organizations and different events put in requests for funding from the Police Services Board and depending on the activity; the Board will issue checks from the proceeds of this auction.”

Meantime, city police and the Stay on Your Feet Coalition are holding a National Prescription Drugs drop-off day tomorrow at Shoppers Drug Mart on Cassells Street from 10 am to 3 pm.

The public to return their unused or expired prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, herbal supplements on this day for safe disposal.

OPP are holding similar events at the same time at 390 Clark Street in Powassan and 520 Valois Drive in Mattawa.
