The 19th annual Mattawa Voyaguer Days is fast approaching — with only four weeks until the big event.

Co-chair Jacques Begin says after the pouring rain two years ago, they saw a drop in wristband sales last year.

He says they’re concerned that people haven’t purchased their wristbands yet for this year’s event.

He says it’s important that area events get that community support. “If we lose them, they’re gone and that means no more of these really high quality music events.””

Overall, Begin says Voyageur Days is Mattawa‘s biggest party.

“The social event of the year is an understatement, people come out and they have a lot of fun, it’s great music.”
This year’s line-up includes Motley Crue’s Vince Neil, Helix, The Glorious Sons, Chad Brownlee, Doc Walker, Devin Cuddy and Alan Doyle.

Wristbands are available at area Caisse Populaires and Scotiabank locations.
Begin points out the music is only one component of the festival, with kid’s events, a golf tournament, a canoe race, bingo and more.
