City Police say their investigation into Tuesday’s collision between a transport truck and a 67 year old female pedestrian continues.

Police say the pedestrian who is in hospital with serious injuries was walking westbound in a parking lot at Algonquin Avenue and Champlain Street and was attempting to cross the Champlain exit when struck by the trailer end.

The 42 year old driver from Ajax was making a right turn from the lot to the Champlain exit when the collision occurred.

Meantime, an 18 year old city man Dylan Thomas Novak has been charged with attempt break and enter and uttering threats to cause death.

Police say a male wearing a bandana and a pair of latex gloves attempted to smash the window of a retail business on Main Street around 5 this morning.

This triggered an alarm.

Police say he walked to a nearby alleyway and picked up a brick and that’s when police arrived, Police was an officer was threatened.

Also, a 20 year old North Bay resident Marcos Clennon has been charged with two counts of break, enter and commit, uttering threats and theft under 5 Thousand Dollars.

Police say yesterday afternoon someone entered a local residence and left with a pair of shoes.

Police say later the person who was at the residence before was wearing the shoes and threatened the victim.

And a 34 year old city resident Justin Andrew Desrochers has been charged with break and enter with intent.

Police say last night, someone broke into a West Ferris residence and caused damage.

Police arrived soon after and an arrest was made. Police say a concerned citizen called 911.

And North Bay Police have conducted a targeted traffic enforcement at Franklin and Seymour.

It took place from 8-11 this morning as police were targeting distracted drivers.

11 motorists received tickets for distracted driving as they were either texting or talking on their phones.
