A look at the new Paramedic Service Station

The Staff at the District of Nipissing Paramedic Services Station on Seymour Street are in their new digs.

They have been operating out of the 5 bay facility for around a month and the manager for the North Bay and District Ambulance Service Jim Stewart says everyone is happy being in one location.

He says being in a central place is key as time is such an important part of their job.

Stewart says they not only serve North Bay but also East Ferris, Callander, and halfway to Mattawa and Temegami and back and need to be somewhere that they can get too quickly in all directions.

He says they can do that out of Seymour as the highway is just a couple of blocks away.

Stewart says everyone reports out of one location and that’s definitely an improved factor and the building itself addresses all health and safety concerns.
