For the 4th consecutive year Stantec North Bay has unveiled a community project.

This year’s project is a recognition wall for the North Bay and District Humane Society inside its dog park at Champlain Park.

Executive Director Daryl Vaillancourt says it means that a lot of people deserve credit for making the park possible.  He says that includes the city and those who have worked on the park, including having a fenced in area for small dogs and a fenced in area for large dogs.

Susan Chapman is the community day organizer for Stantec.

She says they have a lot of employees who are pet owners and one of them lost their pet this year, so the humane society is a worthwhile organization to support.

Stantec employees were involved in a project at the North Bay YMCA last year as they built a wishing well.

The year before they repainted the pedestrian tunnel near Fraser Street.
