NDP MP Charlie Angus says the cuts by the Harper government to Fednor have been maintained by the new government.

He says the budget has been reduced by over 40 million in the last decade.

He says the figures are from the Director General of Fednor.

MP Anthony Rota says the reduction will be addressed in the next federal budget.

He wouldn’t specify numbers.

Rota says the governments first budget didn’t include Fednor changes but he looks forward to some in the next budget.

He says in the meantime they are funding through the Community Infrastructure Program over 10 million Dollars for Northern Ontario and there’s also 25 million more in the secondary infrastructure program..

He admits though Fednor needs some major work and that is going to happen.
