We told you in August about city police initiating a no gang colours, no gang clothing initiative.

They called on local business owners to put a sign up in their businesses indicating, that no gang colours or clothing are allowed.

On Thursday, police identified what kinds of gangs they’re talking about.

OPP Det. Staff Sergeant Len Isnor is the operations coordinator of Ontario’s Biker Enforcement Unit.

He says although the Hell’s Angels don’t have a North Bay chapter, their support clubs are here.

Isnor says they’re sitting in the background reaping the drug profits.

They have two types of clothing: hard colours which are the vests that Hell’s Angels members wear and soft colours which their supporters will wear.

Isnor says they’re here for the drug trade and Chief Shawn Devine says they control the drug trade in North Bay.

The Outlaws are another national motorcycle gang that go into communities for drug purposes.

Chief Devine says they’ve had good support from the local business community for this initiative
