The city will be applying for provincial funding so that a section of Trout Lake Road can be rebuilt between Lakeside Drive and Lees Road.

Chair of Community Services Mark King says if successful over 90 per cent of the project will be paid for by provincial dollars as long as the total cost doesn’t exceed $3,000,000.

He says if successful the project cost breakdown would be just over a $1,000,000 from the province and the city would contribute $120,000.

The application is being made through the provinces Connecting Links program and the money would be spent on a bridge in that area.
