Two members of the Vision Volleyball Club of North Bay will be playing varsity volleyball next season.

Olivia Valenti (below) has received a letter of intent from the University of New Brunswick and Aly Lafantasie (above is going to the University of Waterloo.

Club President David Culin states, “Vision Volleyball is incredibly proud of these two young ladies and their achievements. Both embody a passion for the game and are great ambassadors for the Club. They are also wonderful role models for the younger club athletes. We wish them ongoing success and will continue to support Aly and Olivia in the next chapter of their journey.”

Vision Volleyball Director of Coaching, Danny Gosselin notes, “Olivia Valenti has played for Vision Volleyball since she was fourteen years old. I have had the opportunity to watch a young girl grow into a determined young lady. As her coach for the last five years, I have met few athletes with the perseverance and passion to work for their dreams. While Olivia moves into the next phase of her volleyball career, she will do so with all the tools she will need to play at the collegiate level thanks to her work ethic and amazing attitude. It has been my privilege to help her along her way. The University Of New Brunswick will be receiving an amazing athlete.”
He adds, “Alyssa Lafantaisie graced the Vision Volleyball Club with her presence four years ago. The middle became a hard place to defend. Aly’s ability to score again and again, not only on offense, but on defense as well, made the U18 team a difficult team to compete against. Don’t mistake Aly’s warm smile as a sign of weakness. She is an offensive machine and she has learned how to use her skills to make her one of the top players in the Nipissing area. I am so pleased to see Aly heading to the University of Waterloo next year and I look forward to keeping up with her university career. Aly has been a joy to coach and gives back to the sport what she has received.”
