It's a big year for the Heritage Gardeners

2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the North Bay Heritage Gardeners and an anniversary and volunteer recognition event is being planned.

The June 3rd event will take place at the waterfront with a Chief Commanda II Cruise for registered volunteers and a shore lunch, with entertainment, at the waterfront.

Officials are looking to recognize and thank the over 300 volunteers who have worked hard to maintain the waterfront.

The week of May 29th to June 4th will also be proclaimed “Heritage Gardeners Week”.

The group’s main focus is to enhance and beautify the North Bay Waterfront and other approved locations.
