An advisory committee involving the North Bay Downtown Waterfront area has the go ahead to start gathering members.

Councilor Mark King, who is spearheading the committee, says it will be tasked with reviewing the Downtown Water Front Master Plan and King’s Landing Environmental Assessment and will look at cost estimates and make recommendations.

“It’s a very big job, it will require a fair bit of effort from the committee itself and also from Council,” he says.

King also says they’re looking for members.

“We will be getting the committee underway very shortly. It will be myself, Councillor Maroosis, myself and the Mayor involved with it. Council will choose about 4 private members from the general public,” he added.

The deadline to apply is April 13th at 12:30 by contacting City Hall with the first meeting taking place April 21st.
