The $7-Million Lakeshore Drive overpass project is on schedule.

Chair of the city’s engineering and works committee Councillor Tanya Vrebosch says the project was about 2-3 weeks behind, but the crew has caught up.

She notes that work still has to be done before they get to the halfway mark.

Vrebosch says once the asphalt plants open in May, the plan is do water-proofing and then paving, followed by the lights and barriers being installed.

Once that is complete, crews will then start work on the other side of the bridge.

The schedule calls for the project to be completed by November, but Vrebosch is hopeful it’ll be finished in October.

As for traffic delays, she says they haven’t received a lot of complaints, but you may experience some delays, especially during rush hour.
