North Bay Battalion defenceman Cam Dineen has signed an NHL contract.

He has inked a 3 year deal with the team that drafted him last summer, the Arizona Coyotes.

Dineen played just 29 games last season, because of injury, and had six goals and 14 points.

In his first season with the Troops, Dineen made the league all rookie team with 59 points in 68 games.

In fact, he was 2nd in the entire league in points by a defenceman.

He was also 2nd in balloting for rookie of the year.
