It’s been a year since Nipissing First Nation and the province signed an agreement on steps needed to manage the re-population of walleye in Lake Nipissing.

In a release, they say the collaborative effort continues.

Officials say in the past year, 850 fish have been sampled, new management practices have been communicated to 600 anglers and 90 commercial fishers and there have been 30 days of commercial fishery assessments and monitoring surveys.
