The Powassan Voodoos have added a forward from the Greater Toronto Hockey League.

The defending NOJHL champs have signed Harrison Israels, who played for a Mississauga Major Midget AAA team last season.

The 6’1″, 180 pound forward scored 16 goals and 12 assists in 31 regular season games last season.

Isreals impressed the Voodoos when playing for their prospects team in a tournament in Toronto a couple weeks ago.

“He’s strong in all three zones, he’s consistent and you know what you are going to get shift in shift out with a player like Harrison,” stated new Voodoos head coach Beau Moyer. “I will be able to lean on him defensively but in contrast I know I he will be able to contribute offensively 5 on 5.”

Israels attended the Voodoos Spring Prospects Camp in Powassan and will join some current Voodoos and prospects this weekend final summer camp in Barrie.

Powassan’s main camp begins August 24th.
