The work under a new commander has begun

There was a change of command ceremony at 22 Wing this past week.

Col. Mark Roberts took  over as Commander from Col. Henrik Smith.

Honourary Colonel George Burton says the community outreach which was strong under Col. Smith will continue under Col. Roberts to the same degree.

He says they’ll have a meeting with Col. Roberts soon on his community outreach priorities but programs like Relay For Life and Coach4Food will continue to have military support.

Burton says North Bay is very supportive of the military community here and so the job of the honourary colonels is very easy.

He says being an honourary colonel is a special assignment and a unique one with the American military involvement here as well.
