Trying to ace the hole in 1

The Million Dollar Hole In One competition starts Thursday in North Bay.

This event is a fundraiser for The Laurentian Ski Hill.

The action is taking place from Thursday morning until Monday at Veterans Field.

The President of Laurentian Ski Hill Rick Vezina says there are lots of opportunities to qualify for the semi finals and finals on Monday.

There are 10 qualifiers per day for a total of 50.

They’ll take part in the shootout on Monday with several prizes up for grabs of 5, 10 and 25 thousand dollars.

He says the top five shoot for a million dollars.

Vezina says this years prizes are phenomenal and the top shooter every day gets a 42″ colour TV.

Vezina says he’s been involved in this event for 8 years and it’s a huge fundraiser for the ski hill.

He says this event helps in a big way because they need a lot of money to keep the hill going.
