33 of Canada’s best female and male beach volleyball athletes are converging on North Bay.

They’ll be competing in the Volleyball Canada Senior Beach Nationals Friday through Sunday at the Canor Sand Centre.

It’s the second year that Vision Sports and Entertainment Canada is hosting nationals.

The event is free to public.

“It is an honour to once again host this national tournament at our facility,” said David Culin, VSE Director. “Our international courts and passionate team of volunteers continue to attract the best beach athletes to North Bay.”

“We’re excited to welcome teams from across the country to North Bay,” said Sandra de Graaff, Director of Domestic Events for Volleyball Canada. “North Bay has been an excellent partner for several years, having been the host of our NORCECA beach events and the marquee 2016 RIO Olympics Men’s qualifier.”

“Volleyball Canada has been a great partner helping us develop the facility several years ago and continuing to put their trust in our organization,”
said Amedeo Bernardi, VSE President. “We look forward to our continued relationship with Volleyball Canada as we work together to bring the best in beach events to our region.”
