City police say they’re no longer involved in an incident from earlier this week involving a cat that had a can stuck on it’s head, inside a store on Main Street East.

A window was broken to free the cat.

Police say the damage to the window could have been avoided had police been contacted before trying to remove the can from the cat.

They say the Humane Society is also no longer involved with the incident.

Meantime, North Bay Police report a break-in to a business in the 300 block of Lakeshore Drive sometime overnight yesterday (Wednesday).

A brick was used to smash a front window of the business, with a safe removed.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
