A North Bay resident is calling for action to be taken to get vehicles to slow down on Algonquin Avenue.
Monique Peters made a presentation at Tuesday’s council meeting.
She says there’s a community safety zone near the high school right now but vehicles are still going too fast.
She suggests one closer to the highway: ” because I think it does warrant that, there’s a new medical clinic, and an old medical building and that means a lot of elderly people.”

Peters also wants increased enforcement by police, photo radar and speed signs which let you know how fast you’re going. ” it gives you an idea how fast you’re going. Something has got to get done.”
