The G7 Speakers’ Conference is underway in Italy and MP Anthony Rota is there.

Starting today (Thursday), the meeting of parliamentary representatives from Group of Seven nations and the European Parliament takes place over three days in Rome and Naples.

Rota is the assistant deputy speaker of the House of Commons and will deliver a speech to delegates the conference on the role of Parliaments in combating inequalities and building inclusive societies.

He is attending the G7 gathering on behalf of the Speaker Geoff Regan.
