A male bicyclist was hit by a city transit bus at Wyld and McIntyre.

North Bay Police say he was taken to hospital and was conscious at the time.

No word on the severity of the injuries.

Meantime, North Bay Police say there have 14 reports of thefts from vehicles this month.

In all cases, the vehicles weren’t locked.

Several items have been taken including debit cards, visa cards and wallets.

Police encourage the public to lock their vehicles especially at night.

The thefts have occurred in several areas of the city including Thelma Dr., Nightingale Dr., Portage Avenue., Labreche Dr., Mulligan St., Galt St., Browning St., Beattie St., Lansdowne Ave., Harvey St and on Main St., in Callander.
And police report two more days, Wednesday and Thursday, of zero school bus-related infractions during their back to school traffic enforcement campaign.

This after none on Tuesday too.

Officers will continue to monitor school bus routes, watching for any illegal passing of the stopped school buses.

Targeted speed enforcement will also continue in school zones.
