There will be plenty more smiles in the community this week… Smile Cookies are now on sale at Tim Hortons.

Community Living North Bay is this year’s local charity recipient.

In fact, Director of Support Services Darlene Brooks says they’re the recipient for the next three years.

Money raised will be used to build access and inclusion at the centralized project at F.J. Dellandrea Place.

Brooks says they support people with intellectual disabilities and their families, providing a diverse range of inclusion-based services.

“A service like our early years centre right up to helping people find employment, supporting people in their own apartments, group homes, a real variety of services,” she says.

Brooks also says this isn’t the first time the restaurant chain has supported them.

“Tim Hortons over several years has been such a huge leader and supporter to Communtiy Living North Bay. They have employed people with intellectual disabilities in their restaurants across the province and Canada, but more importantly locally,” she says.

Smile Cookies are on sale for the next week with the full $1 from each one going to Community Living North Bay.
