Those involved with the local side of hosting next years Ford World Women’s curling championship say they have 258 volunteers signed up so far and there’s still a need of 150 more.

Officials say that will help lessen the workload of those who have signed up.

If you’re interested there will be an open house on October 11th from 5-8 pm.

You must volunteer by the end of October so the uniform orders can be made.

To register go to www.curling.ca/2018worldwomen

Meantime, over a thousand full event passes have been sold for the event.

The mini packages and tickets for the start and finish of the event will be available on October 19th while tickets for the round robin draws will be available before Christmas.

A full event pass means you have the same seat for all 25 draws.
