The North Bay Battalion are heading a 4-game losing streak heading into Saturday’s match up with Barrie.

Head coach, Stan Butler says the team can’t get down over some bad bounces in the 4-3 overtime loss to Ottawa. In a positive light, rookie Brandon Coe scored his first OHL goal and Butler was quick to praise last year’s 3rd overall pick.

“It’s the type of play he has to score on.  For him to be a good player in this league, he’s a big body and has good speed and what I like is he went down the wing and shot the puck which we’ve been on him about.”

Butler also stressed not to fret over the bad bounces they’ve been getting during the losing streak and is pushing for patience.
The Troops travel to Barrie Saturday to take on the Colts, broadcast time 7:25 p.m. on Country 600.
