About 70 more volunteers are needed for the 2018 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship in North Bay next March.

That’s the word from Special Events Vice Chair Dave Bennett.

“We do still have seven categories to fill,” he adds.

Over 400 volunteers will be involved with the event, in everything from banquets and rallies, transportation, scorers, stats and timers and more.

In terms of being a spectator at the event, Bennett says another ticket option is coming up on Thursday.

“October 26th our mini-packs and opening/closing weekend tickets will be for sale,” he says.

Bennett says full event pass sales have been going well and will continue to be for sale after the mini-pack options launches.

Single draw tickets are expected to go on sale closer to Christmas.
